The New Carbon Tax Implications for Business by Mr Stephen Cartwright CEO - NSW Business Chamber
As you are all now aware, the passing of the carbon tax legislation through the lower house now means chances of the tax being rejected by the Federal Parliament are remote. Business will now have to adapt to operating in a carbon taxed economy.NSW Business Chamber will be working with our members over the coming months to help them prepare for increased energy prices and on costs.
Now that the Government has essentially ensured that a carbon tax will be a reality on the 1 July 2012, pressure is on the Government to negotiate a global agreement on reducing carbon emissions that will catch up with its ‘go it alone’ approach on carbon that places Australian businesses at a competitive disadvantage.
Please remember that this presentation contact the facts only. There is no debate on these facts, only the figures that brought the NSW Business Chamber and members to the logical position it stands for today on this policy.
Thank you again for attending the seminar and please feel free to contact me direct should you have any further questions.
