From Conflict to Collaboration in 20 Minutes with Medianos

13 Feb 2026 16:16 | Nicola Davies-Cooke (Administrator)

Today's meeting at Tuggerah was our biggest yet with 27 people in attendance!  With a bit of judicious furniture removal, we managed to find seats for everyone, which was great ...  and we welcomed first time guests, a new member and saw the return of some familiar faces who have been absent from meetings for a while.  Clearly 2026 is off to a bounding start here.

Rory Gowers gave our special presentation today, ably assisted by his wife Lilian and Paul Diener, who role-played a common business scenario:

  • Using Medianos - the board game teaching practical conflict resolution through interactive gameplay - we witnessed a real problem being navigated through a playable solution
  • This format can assist with difficult customers, unreliable suppliers, partnership tensions, because it uses a structured framework we can all apply immediately
  • Beyond traditional mediation: Medianos equips teams to resolve their own conflicts before escalation, building capability rather than dependency

As Australasian Ambassador for Medianos, Rory Gowers is bringing this innovative approach to Central Coast businesses, schools, and community groups throughout 2026
